The Bible refers to animals in the creation account of Genesis, in Proverbs on the care of beasts, and in Jesus’ words on sparrows.
In Proverbs 12:10:
10 A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.
In Genesis 1:26:
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
In Matthew 10:29:
29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.
