Honoring parents is the fifth of the Ten Commandments and is repeated in Paul’s letter to the Ephesians.
In Exodus 20:12:
12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
In Ephesians 6:2-3:
2 Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; 3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
In Proverbs 23:22:
22 Hearken unto thy father that begat thee, and despise not thy mother when she is old.
