John 8:12 in the King James Version reads:
12Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
What it says
Jesus teaches in the temple, intervenes in the case of a woman caught in adultery, debates his identity and relationship to the Father and Abraham with Jewish leaders, and escapes stoning after declaring his pre-existence.
