The King James Version (KJV) is an English translation of the Bible completed in 1611 under the sponsorship of King James I of England.
It was produced by six committees of scholars, working from the available Hebrew and Greek texts. The KJV is in the public domain in the United States and remains one of the most widely printed English translations. See King James Version.
