The Bible was written in three original languages: most of the Old Testament in Hebrew, a small portion of the Old Testament (parts of Daniel, Ezra, and one verse of Jeremiah) in Aramaic, and the New Testament in Koine Greek.

The King James Version of 1611 is an English translation from those source languages.
