The Tanakh is the Hebrew Bible — the same collection of books that Christians call the Old Testament, organized in a different order and grouped in three sections: the Torah (Law), the Nevi'im (Prophets), and the Ketuvim (Writings).

The name "Tanakh" is an acronym formed from the first letters of those three sections (T-N-K). See Tanakh.
