Acts 1:8 in the King James Version reads:
8But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
What it says
Jesus appears to his apostles for forty days after his resurrection, ascends into heaven, and the believers pray in Jerusalem until Matthias is chosen by lot to replace Judas as an apostle.
