James 1:2-3 in the King James Version reads:
2My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;3Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
What it says
James instructs believers to rejoice in trials, ask God for wisdom in faith, be doers of the word not hearers only, and practice pure religion by caring for the vulnerable and remaining unstained by the world.
